Hello and welcome to my Networking Blog
I am currently a Cisco Certified Network Professional [CCNP] and have been doing Cisco network engineering in a medium sized solution provider for about five years. Over the last few years I have become more interested in the Security side of the networking work I do. I have always tried to keep my certifications up to date by taking them to the next level. Having recently recertified my CCNP for another three years I was thinking of doing the CCSP and then the CCIE in security. I think many people would like to a certification like the CCIE but either feel the time studying or the content of the material is to difficult. I have no doubt that the time it takes to cover all the material and being able to retain and then apply it when needed is a very difficult task, difficult but not impossible and even if it takes another five years it means I will be exposing my self to a whole lot more technology’s.
